A professional quality automatic 4 bar pump with stainless steel motor body and 0.8hp motor. Fully waterproof (IP68), submersible and self-priming. Ideal for domestic and garden non-potable water supply. This powerful pump can withstand total submersion in water or can be externally connected to a tank or large above ground water butt. Waterproof therefore very safe to use in the garden (IP68).
Use stored water and rain water to supply drip irrigation systems as well as conventional hose guns and sprinklers with this self-priming garden pump. A great way to be more water efficient by using rainwater to irrigate the plants in your garden or for washing your car.
With a high pressure of 4bar this pump provides a higher pressure than the average UK tap pressure, although actual performance does depend on the length and diameter of the watering hose that you use.
The XAJE80B intelligent pump responds to pressure in the delivery pipe. It turns itself on when there is a demand for water, then switches off again automatically once the demand has been met.
This unit is very similar to the X-AJE P pump. The principle difference is the pump housing. The P is not so resistant to frost. The P version is also no longer in stock; however, parts are available.

This automatic pump comes, as standard, with anti-blocking system and dry run protection with automatic restart. It also comes with a Non-return Valve (NRV) that you screw into the water inlet.
It is very quiet in use. Their extremely low noise and vibration levels are due to the use of larger, smoother running motor components, a single piece rotor shaft, and a 360 degree water jacket surrounding the motor. Noise Absorption is maximised, making them far more pleasant to live with than a traditional air-cooled pump. This water cooled design and stainless steel stator housing remove heat from the motor faster than any other type of design. Unlike air and oil cooled pumps, which warm up quickly in hot rooms and sunny positions, increasing susceptibility to stress and fatigue, SteelPumps stay as cool as the water they are pumping.
This is a clean water pump which means that collected rainwater needs to be filtered before it enters the pump. This can either be done when collecting the water using a quality downpipe diverter that also filters the water, like the 3P Filter Collector Universal, before it enters your rainwater storage vessel.
Pump Warranty
This is a high quality professional pump that comes with a 2 year warranty when properly installed. SteelPumps are designed to be serviceable long into the future with common service components located behind an easy to remove electrical cover. The capacitor, pressure switch, flow sensor and control unit are all easily accessed.
Pump Repairs and Servicing
Disassembly of the entire pump is straightforward using basic tools, and ALL parts, including nuts and bolts, are available to order individually from the manufacturers website: wwww.steelpumps.co.uk. There are no corrodible mechanical parts within the pump, no potted electronics, no crimped wiring (everything unplugs). Service diagrams and information provided on request.
While other brands are ‘production engineered’ to be assembled fast and never taken apart, Steelpumps can be maintained for as long as spares are made. They are designed to last.
Optional Extras
Floating Intake Filter
If being used as a submersible pump in a tank we highly recommend fitting the pump with a Floating Intake Filter. This will ensure the cleanest water is pumped from the tank.
Float Switch
A float switch floats in the water of the water-tank and as the water drops and rises either activates or de-activates the pump. This option comes with a 3m Float Switch. If you need a bespoke length of cable for your Float Switch then please contact us.
Pressure Vessel
We highly recommend you fit a pressure vessel to the water delivery pipework (after the pump). Pressure Vessels help increase the life of your automatic pump when there are leaks in your pipe network/taps. Read more about how Pressure Vessels work.
