WRAS Approved 5000L water tank suitable for storing water above ground. It is also ideal for storing rainwater.
This black water tank is manufactured in Britain. It is 2.3m diameter by 1.68m tall.
The above ground water tank comes with four lifting eyes at the top which can also be used as tie-down points if necessary.
The large lid on the top (420mm diameter) is perfect for installing a submersible water pump within the tank if desired.

This tank does not come with an outlet, however we can factory fit an outlet of the size you desire before dispacth. Please contact us to discuss outlet type and size. Sizes available are 1", 2" and 3".
3 Step Filter Rainwater Filter Kit
STEP 1 - DOWNPIPE FILTER
The first step in harvesting and storing rainwater without it going "sour" is to filter. The rainwater flows from the roof to the filter. Here, dirt particles and debris are separated from the water. The cleaned water then flows to the tank. The dirt is washed to waste or a soakaway with a small amount of rainwater. All 3P Technik’s rainwater filters have stainless steel inserts, which are easy to remove and easy to clean. Their many different working principles and connection possibilities allow for use in many different situations. Complies with BS8515.
Rainwater Harvesting Filter Kits come with a filter sized according to the maximum roof area you will be harvesting water from.

STEP 2 - CALMED INLET
In the rainwater collection tank, any residual particles heavier than water settle to the bottom of the tank. The 3P Technik Calmed Inlet ensures that oxygenated water is introduced to the lower layers of the stored water in the tank without disturbing the settled sedimentation. This oxygen-rich water prevents anaerobic reducing conditions forming in the storage tank and ensures that the water stays fresh.
The Calmed inlet sits on the bottom of your rainwater tank and is connected to the filter using a length of standard DN100 pipe (not supplied).
STEP 3 - OVERLFOW SIPHON - Uno
Particles lighter than water (e.g. pollen) float slowly to the water surface. 3P Technik’s expertly designed overflow siphons, with a skimmer effect, removes this floating layer. The regular overflow of water from the storage tank is vital to obtain optimum water quality. It prevents souring of the water. If left, this floating layer on top of the water will build up over time, and so reduce oxygen diffusion at the waters surface, which in turn could lead to anaerobic reducing conditions in the tank.
We have chosen 3P Technik's Uno Overflow Siphon for these kits. It skims the surface water of debris and the U-bend design ensures any smell escaping from the tank and also deters rodents and other animal life from getting into the tank.
All 3P components are BS8515 compliant.
Note: Filtering water with the above three products will not make it potable. Seek specialist advice to further treat rainwater if you desire to use it for potable purposes.
