Description

Fast Water Tank or Cistern Float Valve Fill with Adjustable Arm (Ballcock Alternative)

QuickStop Advance Float Valves are hydraulic water level regulators with a hydraulically operated closure.

Designed as a replacement to conventional ballcock valves in water tanks to protect booster pumps, the QuickStop goes instantly from fully open to fully closed, preventing repeated stop/start cycling of pumps when filling tanks or cisterns. This makes the pump more efficient, saves energy and wear and tear on the pump.

QuickStop has a very high flow rate allowing rapid filling with minimal pressure loss.

Available in five different sizes, 0.5", 0.75", 1", 1.25" and 1.5" BSP Connections.

It has not been WRAS tested, so is currently only available for non-potable water installations.

The Locking lever (at the center hinge) easily sets the minimum and maximum tank liquid levels and the length of the float arm can be simply adjusted too giving you great flexibility from 0 to 180o. The adjustable arm has 6 different settings enabling you to lengthen the arm up to 60mm.

A versatile ballcock and float valve alternative which is adaptable to many differenty types of installation including water tanks, toilet cisterns, roof tanks and header tanks.

When water is drawn from the tank, the Quickstop has a delayed re-start level of approximately 3cm, which further reduces the stop/start frequency of the pump.

Warranty

The QuickStop Advance - Adjustable Hydraulic valve comes with 24 months warranty from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to defects caused by tampering or abnormal use of the product.

What does the QuickStop size refer to?

The size refers to the connections. The Inlet is a BSP sized male thread (the outlet is a male barbed fitting)

QuickStop Size Inlet BSP  Size* Minimum hole required
(if putting inlet through cistern wall or similar)**
0.5" 1/2" (12.7mm) 0.825" (21mm)
0.75" 3/4" (19mm) 1.041" (27mm)
1" 1" (25.4mm) 1.309" (34mm)
1.25" 1 1/4 (31.75mm) 1.65" (42mm)
1.5" 1 1/2 (38.1mm) 1.882" (48mm)

* BSP sizes are the nominal bore of the fitting not the measurable thread size, which will always be larger.

** note if drilling a new hole to put inlet through, the instruction manual says to drill 2mm larger.
