Product Description

Water Tank Level Controller with alarm using Water Level Sensor

The Best-selling 3P Top-Up Controller Set senses when the rainwater stored in your Water Tank gets too low and automatically adds enough mains water so that you can continue to flush toilets etc until the next time it rains. This ensures a year round supply of water to appliances in low rainfall periods.

It doesn't fill the tank, instead when the water in the tank reaches the low water level (that you define), the solenoid valve opens to top-up the tank with mains water until the level sensor is fully submerged. The Controller then continues to fill the tank for a a further 1 minute. This avoids adding too much water, ensures enough is added to prevent excessive top-up cyles and therefore protects your pump from over working.

The Controller uses a solid state conductivity sensor to sense low water level, avoiding the movement and accuracy issues of a float switch. Conductivity sensors experience no mechanical wear during use leading to long lifespan and reliability.

The Controller comes with leak detection built into the software so that you can act on any faults in the system as quickly as possible, saving water and time. If a leak it detected the Controller halts operation and alerts the user. This prevents potential water wastage due to tank or duct failure. or failure of the solenoid valve.

The Top-Up Controller is designed to work with automatic pumps. Pump isolation is optional using the front power socket, and allows the Controller to isolate the pump during a top-up cycle to avoid water useage exceeding the rate of replenishment.

Water is topped up via a BSEN13076 and BS8515 compliant tundish. The 3P Tundish acts as a Type AA air gap to comply with BS EN 13076: Devices to prevent pollution by backflow of potable water. The 3P Tundish itself and its’ ½” feed nozzle are both freely rotatable in the wall mounting bracket (supplied).

It is recommended that installation is carried out by a qualified electrician. The Controller must be installed on a dedicated circuit and protected by a 10A fused outlet to protect the pump and controller. Installation instructions are included with the Controller.
