Mono Overflow Siphon for thicker walled Rainwater Harvesting Tanks
The Mono Overflow Siphon design includes a rodent and odour barrier. It is best used in thicker walled rainwater harvesting tanks (ie concrete tanks) with 4" grommets and seals (not inlcuded).
The Mono Overflow Siphon differs from the Duo Overflow Siphon in that the Duo has a top connection that allows it to be connected via pipework directly to an In-tank Filter.
Particles that are finer than your filter mesh and lighter than water, like pollen and oils, float to the top of the stored water. The best way to get rid of the floating debris is to skim it off. An Overflow Siphon like the Mono is by far the easiest way to do this.
The Mono Overflow Siphon is installed at the high water level in your tank and two horizontal skimming slots (one on either site). Light particles (e.g. pollen) and oil fall into it when the water reaches that height. It is self-cleaning as it acts as an overflow too - any excess rainwater will flow out of the tank at this point too and back down your downpipe or to Waste.
