160L Decorative Vase Shaped Water Butt with Integral Planter
The Alana’s unique surface design makes this water butt really impress. This water butt planter is perfect for adding a rainwater storage to your garden and not compromising gardening space, this space saving waterbutt is ideal for passionate gardeners with limited space.
The integral planting space at the top is approximately 27cm deep. The depth allows for gravel or stones at the base of the chamber for drainage (if required).
Also great for gardens in areas that flood as it can be used as a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) planter in a Rain Garden to help slow the flow of stormwater.
Available in 2 contemporary colours; Slate and Grey Granite. The Grey Granite Alana has a fleck in the colour which gives a beautiful finish.
Manufactured from dimensionally stable (high wall thickness of an average 6mm), UV stabilised, weather resistant plastic. All threads and connections are metal.
The Alana is sealed unit (the "planter" is not removable and does not have a drain hole) so it is especially important to keep the unit free from sludge and debris as it is not possible to access for cleaning. We recommend that you connect the Alana to your downpipe with a Rainwater Diverter that has an integral filter - like the the 3P Filter Collector (see below). There are two rain diverter connection areas (one on either side of the water butt).

Rainwater Diverter
We recommend installing the 3P Filter Collector with your Alana Water Butt planter. The Filter Collector connects your Water Butt to your Downpipe via a 30cm length of Hose (included with the Alana) and also filters the water, removing any debris, before transferring the water into the tank. The Filter Collector is ideal for roof areas up to 90m2 (other filters are available for larger roof areas).
If you need to position the Alana further away (than 30 cm) from the downpipe we recommend also purchasing a Push Fit Long Link Kit of a length suitable for your location.
Tank to Tank Connection Kit
A Water Butt Linking Kit can be purchased to join two Water Tanks together using the lower 3/4" brass threaded port.
How to link water tanks together
If you already have a wall tank (or other water butt with a 3/4 inch BSP female threaded connection point near the base of the tank) you can purchase a 3/4" Tank to Tank Connection Kit.
