Combined Rainwater Tank Filter and Overflow Siphon
The Siphon Filter is a compact rainwater filter with in built Overflow Siphon for installation in a concrete or plastic rainwater tanks.
Due to the inclined angle of the stainless steel filter sieve and its very smooth surface structure, the dirt is rinsed to Waste. The stainless steel sieve with a mesh size of 0.7 x 1.7 mm is the ideal sieve for using rainwater in the garden and for non-potable uses like washing machines and toilet flushing.
This filter has an in built Overflow Siphon DN 100 with odour trap.
The stainless steel filter requires occasional cleaning dpending on contamination levels.
How it works
(see also the diagram above)
- Rainwater flows onto the Stainless Steel filter.
- The Filter Cartridge cleans the rainwater and the the cleaned water flows into the storage tank.
- Dirt particles are pass to Waste due to the steep inclination of the filter and its smooth surface structure.
- When the water in the tank fills water flows into the Overflow Siphon section of the Filter. This removes particles that are lighter than water (and smaller than the filter mesh) and keeps the stored water fresher for longer.

Calmed Inlet
A Calmed Inlet at the bottom of your water tank will ensure that the water flowing into your tank will not disturb the settled sediment. The shape of the Calmed Inlet means that water is pushed upward into the tank. The upward flow of the water into the tank oxygenates the stored water. This oxygen-rich water prevents anaerobic reducing conditions forming in the storage tank and ensures that the water stays fresh and keep your rainwater clean.

Rapid Connector Sets (110mm)
110mm pipe connector complete with steel nuts, bolts, washers & seal insert. These Double Socket Slip Couplers can be used instead of a Double Ended Coupler. The Rapid Connectors ensure that you don't have to move the connecting waste/drainage pipes to fit or to undo the filter at a later date. They enable the pipe to be simply bolted to the filter while it is in place rather than pushing pipes into a socket coupler or similar. Note; the filter basket can be accessed, removed and cleaned by taking the lid off (if purchased) the filter housing - the entire filter housing doesn't need to be taken out for cleaning maintenance.
