Rainwater Downpipe Filter
The 3P Rainus downpipe filter is perfect for people who have had problems with blocked gulleypots, downpipes, underground pipework or soakaways. This is the choice of SUDS professionals everywhere. Easy to assess, monitor, maintain, all above ground. SUDS security. A useful first treatment step.
It works in the reverse direction compared to diverters, as it is the dirt that is ejected and diverted away from the rainwater above ground, not the water.
It is ideal for retro-fitting to properties where there is currently no filter in place, protecting both below-ground tanks and drainage systems where it would not be practical to install a below ground filter. Also, for use before soakaways, ponds and infiltration systems as this is a Soakaway Defender, taking the organic and coarse inorganic matter away before it reaches a soakaway or rainwater tank.
It is a professional grade filter. It is sufficient to protect the stored rainwater quality even in an underground rainwater tank.
The 3P Rainus is easy to monitor, as you install it on the downpipe at a position that is is easy for you to assess and access, There is no need to lift heavy lids or to climb down into below ground rainwater storage tanks or chambers.
The Stainless Steel mesh filters out all particles above a 1mm particle size. The mesh filter is removable and easy to clean, as required, from time to time. The filter insert will need cleaning once or twice a year for optimal efficiency. The filter is easily removed and slotted back into place for maintenance.
The standard 3P Rainus fits 80mm, 90mm and 100mm down-pipes. The UK version with adaptors top and bottom fits all standard UK 68mm round and 65mm square down-pipes. It does not fit British 4" (110mm) downpipes.
